Aroma & Palate | Full-bodied, with spice and red fruit |
Varietal | Chambourcin |
Style | Cosy & Christmassy |
Chambourcin, a grape usually used as it is here for a velvet-smooth red wine, is unusual among wine grapes for having juice that’s naturally red rather than being tinted that colour by skin contact. Here, it’s beautifully autumnal, with forest notes, some earth and Christmas-cake/gingerbread spiciness.
Highly wholesome stuff that’ll transport you to a December a fair bit darker and cosier than what we’ll be getting.
Chambourcin a hybrid variety is a wonderful alternative to heavy reds and this Chambourcin is a rich deep ruby red/purple in colour. With aromas of forest fruits, plums, pepper and spice. It is full bodied with a medium finish we suggest you chill it and drink it now. Can be enjoyed with or without a meal, serve with charcuterie or tapas if you prefer.
