Our Notes
A cracking wine from Nova Vita’s “Firebird” line - this one’s listed as a Sangiovese, but there’s a little Cabernet and Merlot there too in a tribute to the Italian “Super Tuscan” wines.
All handpicked grapes here, and making use of both French and Italian oak for plenty of nuanced smoke and leather balanced by the full and complex tannins you’d expect of the style.

About the Winemaker
“Nova Vita”, new life, is a reference to the new life formed by winemakers Mark & Jo Kozned’s total commitment to their Adelaide Hills product, and the firebird featured on their labels is a reference both to this and their Russian heritage. The recently-established Tunnel Hill vineyard adds a few new varietals to their initial chardy-sauav-blanc-pinot-gris-shiraz offerings.
