60% Sangiovese + 40% Merlot. Speak softly love. Doesn’t say where it’s from, though the style reminds me of something that might come out of the Ferguson Valley / Geographe. I could be wrong.

It’s very good. It’s perfumed and spicy, seaweed and new leather, cherry and plum. It’s supple and dense with a suede-like tannin feel, plush fruit, some almond paste, and a fresh and long finish rippling with delicious tannin. Hits the spot, and is indeed Italianate in feel, albeit with a West Australian accent.

The Otro Vino 2018 “Italian” is a field blend of Sangiovese and Merlot in tribute to Tuscan traditions. Vespa red in colour with scents of musk, violets and sweet sour cherries.

This wine is wild-fermented and matured in old French oak for 7 months. Medium-bodied with notes of musk, violets, and sour cherries.

In homage to the classics of Tuscany, this vino evokes the essence of Italy. Wild fermented Sangiovese with a splash of Merlot, it is captivating and filled with charm. Vespa red in colour it oozes with scents of cherries, violets and red currants. Medium bodied and light on its feet with subtle tannin, the palate is driven by raspberry and cherry fruit. Defined by fresh acidity and savoury curves that give length, depth and lineage. Pure charisma and Italian style... Bella!
